Jim Webb is a former United States Senator from Virginia, serving as the 69th United States Secretary of the Navy and a member of the Democratic Party. Born on February 9, 1946, he has a background in law and politics, having served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and later in the Virginia Senate before his election to the U.S. Senate in 2006.
