Jimmy Greaves (20 February 1940 – 19 September 2021) was an English professional footballer who played as a striker. Renowned for his prolific goal-scoring, he scored over 400 top-flight league goals, making him one of the greatest forwards in English football history. He played for Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan, and West Ham United, and earned 57 caps for England, scoring 44 goals. Greaves was a member of England's 1966 World Cup-winning squad, though injury prevented him from playing in the final. After retiring, he became a popular television pundit, known for his wit and charm.
