Verner Panton (February 13, 1926 – September 5, 1998) was a Danish industrial designer, renowned as one of the most innovative designers of the 20th century. He is famous for his bold use of color, geometric shapes, and innovative use of plastic materials. His masterpieces include the Panton Chair and the VP Globe pendant lamp. Panton's style blends functionalism with futurism, challenging traditional furniture design boundaries. His works are collected by institutions like the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and continue to inspire contemporary designers.
