Luis GonzalezLuis Gonzalez (born September 3, 1967) is a former American professional baseball left fielder. He played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), most notably for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Gonzalez is best known for his walk-off single against Mariano Rivera in Game 7 of the 2001 World Series, securing the Diamondbacks' championship. A five-time All-Star, he hit 354 home runs with a .287 batting average. His career highlights include the 2001 Silver Slugger Award and All-Star Game MVP. Gonzalez's clutch hitting and leadership made him a fan favorite in Arizona, where his number 20 was retired in 2010. more
