Born into a noble family of the former Chu state, Xiang Yu was renowned for his extraordinary strength and exceptional martial abilities. He became the leader of the rebel forces against the Qin Dynasty and played a crucial role in overthrowing the tyrannical Qin rule. After the fall of Qin, Xiang Yu proclaimed himself as the "King of Western Chu" and engaged in a power struggle with Liu Bang, the founder of the Han Dynasty.
