Robert Palmer (January 19, 1949 – September 26, 2003) was a renowned English singer-songwriter known for his elegant vocal style and sophisticated pop-rock music. His smooth, velvety voice and polished performances made him one of the most distinctive artists of the late 20th century. Palmer achieved global fame with hits including "Addicted to Love," "Simply Irresistible," and "Mercy Mercy Me." He was also a key member of the supergroup The Power Station.
