Tsai Ing-wen (born August 31, 1956) is a Taiwanese politician who served as the leader of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and the President of Taiwan from 2016 to 2024. She is the first female president of Taiwan, known for her moderate approach and social reforms. Tsai holds a PhD in law from the London School of Economics.
