Apolo Ohno is an American short track speed skater born on May 22, 1982, in Seattle, Washington. He is the most decorated Winter Olympian in American history, winning 8 medals (2 gold, 2 silver, 4 bronze) across three Olympic Games. Ohno achieved his greatest success at the 2002 Salt Lake City and 2006 Turin Olympics, winning a total of 3 gold medals.
