Thomas Gage, born in 1719, was a prominent British military officer. He served in key positions in the British army in the North American colonies, most notably as the commander during the Siege of Boston. Gage was known for his military skills and leadership, but was also criticized for some of his decisions in the war. He died on April 2, 1787 in Britain. more
