De manera que, si tu capacidad de entender tu mundo y la interrelación con el mundo de los demás es muy limitada, pues tu pensamiento crítico va a ser muy limitado. Es decir, son un montón de elementos que van configurando tu identidad, pero que tú no los puedes elegir, pero sin darte cuenta están ahí y te van configurando. Entonces, tener en cuenta la circunstancia es fundamental para entender tu pensamiento crítico, porque hay una parte de ti que está ahí. Dice Ortega y Gasset que dos tercios de la biografía de una persona se pueden definir por el lugar en el que naces y el tiempo en el que naces. Dos tercios.”
