“সন্দীপন চট্টোপাধ্যায়ের ডায়েরি: ১) ঘুম মানুষের অচেতন নগ্নতা, সচেতন নগ্নতা হল, যখন ডাক্তার দেখে। বিশেষত গায়নোকোলোজিস্ট। ২) আনন্দ একটা জটিল আবেগ, শোকও তাই। ৩) আবেগসমূহের মধ্যে ভয়, আহ্লাদ, ক্রোধ এগুলোর মধ্যে জটিলতা নেই। এগুলো সরল প্রকৃতির। ৪) শুধু মানুষ মরণশীল নয় তা তো নয়- সম্পর্কও মরণশীল। ৫) আমি ভালোবাসায় বিশ্বাস করি। যেখানে ভালোবাসা নেই, আমি সেই অবস্থান স্বীকার করি না। ৬) লেখক কোন অভিজ্ঞতার ভিতরে থেকে লিখতে পারে না। সে বেরিয়ে আসে অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে বা অভিজ্ঞতাই তাকে অভিজ্ঞতার বাইরে ঠেলে দেয়। ৭) বড় হবার পর প্রত্যেক মানুষের অধিকার আছে পরের দেওয়া নাম গ্রহন অথবা বর্জন করে নিজে নাম রাখার। এ তার মৌলিক অধিকার। ৮) জীবনে বাংলা ডিক্সনারি দেখিনি। খুলিনি। শ্রেষ্ঠ বাংলা ভাষা জানি। জীবনে একটা নারী নেই। শ্রেষ্ঠ যৌনমনা। একটা কলম পেলাম না যার মন আছে। ৯) এখন বেলচার মত কলমের পেছনটা ধরে ঠেলছি। হ্যাঁ, এটা কোদালই। কলম নয় কিছুতেই।”
