Adam Mickiewicz (December 24, 1798 - November 26, 1855) was a prominent Polish poet and a key figure in the Romantic movement of 19th-century Polish literature. His poetry deeply reflected the history and culture of the Polish nation and is considered the founder of Polish literary heritage.
