Anagarika Dharmapala was a Buddhist monk, writer, and social reformer from Sri Lanka, born on September 17, 1864, and died on April 29, 1933. He was a key figure in the Buddhist revival movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, promoting Buddhism and Buddhist values both within Sri Lanka and internationally.
