Barry Sanders, born on July 16, 1968, is a retired American professional football player. Known for his exceptional speed, agility, and skill, he played as a running back for the Detroit Lions. Sanders won the NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award in 1989 and 1990 and was named to the Pro Bowl multiple times during his career.
