Bill Sharman, born on May 25, 1926, was an American professional basketball player and coach. He spent his entire NBA career as a player and went on to become a successful coach after retirement. Sharman is best known for his achievements with the Los Angeles Lakers, particularly leading the 'Dream Team' to the NBA championship in 1972.
