Shackerley Marmion
Shackerley Marmion (January 21, 1603 – 1639) was an English dramatist and poet of the early 17th century, known for his contributions to Caroline-era theatre. Born in Northamptonshire, he studied at Oxford University before moving to London to pursue a literary career. His works include several plays and poems, with notable comedies like 'The Dutch Courtesan' and 'The Antiquary'. Marmion's style blended satire and humor, reflecting contemporary social mores.
