Chandra Shekhar Azad was an Indian revolutionary and freedom fighter who played a significant role in the Indian independence movement. Born on July 23, 1906, he was a member of the Indian National Congress and the Hindustan Republican Association. Azad was known for his involvement in several acts of sabotage and his role in the assassination of police officer James Scott. He was captured and executed by the British on February 27, 1931.
