Charles Hendry is a British Conservative Party politician born on May 6, 1959. He served as Member of Parliament for Wealden constituency from 1992 to 2010 and held the position of Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change under Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Hendry also served as Conservative Party Deputy Chairman and Chief Secretary to the Treasury. After leaving politics in 2010, he transitioned to business and consulting roles.
