Critias, born around 460 BC and died around 403 BC, was a prominent Greek philosopher and politician. He was from Athens and was a student of Socrates, as well as a friend of Plato. Critias is a major character in Plato's dialogue 'Critias'. He made significant contributions to philosophy and politics, and his ideas have had a profound impact on later generations.
