Elizur Wright
Elizur Wright was an American mathematician known for his contributions to the field of mathematics, particularly in the area of algebra. Born on February 12, 1804, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Wright made significant contributions to the development of higher mathematics in the United States. He served as a professor at the University of Michigan and published numerous textbooks and treatises on mathematics. Wright's work included the development of a new method for solving cubic equations and contributions to the field of algebra, introducing new symbols and notation. He passed away on November 22, 1885.
