Peter Warlock (born Philip Arnold Heseltine, October 30, 1894 – December 17, 1930) was an early 20th-century English composer, music critic, and editor. Known for his art songs and choral works, his style blended Elizabethan music, folk tunes, and modern harmonies. Notable works include the 'Capriol Suite' and 'Sleep.' Warlock's life was short and controversial, but his music gained posthumous recognition, influencing the English musical renaissance.
