Robert Roswell Palmer
Robert Roswell Palmer (January 11, 1909 - June 11, 2002) was an eminent American historian specializing in the French Revolution and modern European history. He taught at the University of Pennsylvania for decades and was recognized as one of the most influential American historians of the twentieth century. His landmark work "The Age of the Democratic Revolution" explored global political transformations in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
