Elbridge Bryant (1939-1975) was an American R&B and soul singer, best known as the second tenor for The Temptations, one of Motown Records' most legendary vocal groups. He joined the group in 1960, replacing Melvin Franklin, and served for eleven years during the group's most successful era. His powerful tenor voice contributed to classic hits like "My Girl" and "You've Really Got a Hold on Me." After leaving the group in 1971, he pursued a brief solo career but struggled with declining health. Bryant passed away on October 26, 1975, at age 36, leaving a legacy as an essential voice of Motown's golden age.
