
Isidore of Seville
Isidore of Seville (560-636 AD) was a Spanish saint, scholar, and bishop of Seville. He is considered one of the most important scholars of the early medieval period and is best known for his work 'Etymologiae', a comprehensive dictionary of Latin words. He was also a bishop of Seville and contributed significantly to theology, philosophy, history, geography, and the natural sciences.
