Frank Bainimarama, born on April 27, 1954, is a Fijian politician and the current Prime Minister of Fiji. He has been a significant figure in Fijian politics, leading a military coup in 2000 and becoming the de facto leader of the country before being officially elected Prime Minister in 2006.
