Gabriele Munter (1877-1962) was a significant painter of the Expressionist movement. Born in Munich, Germany, she spent much of her life in Italy and Switzerland. Known for her vivid colors and bold brushstrokes, Munter's work was profoundly influenced by her travels and experiences. She was also a close friend and collaborator with the artist Wassily Kandinsky.
