Gordon Beckham, born on September 16, 1986, is an American professional baseball player. He primarily played as a second baseman during his career, having been a member of the Chicago White Sox and the Atlanta Braves. Beckham was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the first round as the fourth overall pick in the 2008 MLB Draft. He made his Major League debut in 2009 and quickly became a key player for the team. During his career, Beckham has been selected to the All-Star Game twice and won the Silver Slugger Award in 2010.
