Guy Pearce (born October 5, 1967) is an English-born Australian actor. He gained international fame for his roles in L.A. Confidential (1997) as Detective Ed Exley and Memento (2000) as Leonard Shelby. Pearce began his career on the Australian soap opera Neighbours before transitioning to Hollywood. Known for his intense method acting and versatility, he has starred in films such as The King's Speech, Iron Man 3, and Prometheus.
