Marco Pantani was an Italian professional road racing cyclist, born on January 13, 1970, and passed away on February 14, 2004. He emerged in the early 1990s and became known for his exceptional climbing ability and speed. Pantani won the Tour de France in 1998, becoming the first Italian to win the race. His career included multiple victories in the Giro d'Italia and other major races. Unfortunately, he retired early due to health issues and died in 2004 due to drug abuse.
