Hosea Williams was an American civil rights leader, Baptist minister, and politician. Born on January 5, 1926, in Atlanta, Georgia, he passed away on November 16, 2000. Williams was a prominent figure in the civil rights movement, particularly involved in the Selma to Montgomery marches. He also served as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives and the U.S. House of Representatives.
