
Patrick Read Johnson
Patrick Read Johnson (born May 7, 1962) is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for directing the 1991 Disney adventure film 'The Rocketeer'. Johnson developed a passion for filmmaking in his childhood, shooting short films on Super 8 film in his hometown in Illinois. He later moved to Hollywood, working at Industrial Light & Magic on special effects for films like 'Star Wars'. His career highlights include 'The Rocketeer', which became a cult classic, though his subsequent projects did not achieve the same level of success. Johnson continues to work on independent films and documentaries.
