Philip Arthur Fisher (1907-2004) was a pioneering American investor and author, widely regarded as the father of growth stock investing. His 1958 book "Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits" became an investment classic, influencing generations of investors including Peter Lynch. Fisher co-founded Fisher Investments and developed the 15-point screening method for selecting growth stocks, emphasizing long-term holding of quality companies with strong management and innovation potential.
