Jagadish Chandra Bose was an Indian physicist known for his significant contributions to the fields of radio science, biophysics, and plant science. He was a pioneer in the development of radio waves and is often referred to as the 'Father of Radio Science'. Bose's work in plant science involved the study of plant communication and growth, which laid the foundation for biophysics. He was a professor at the University of Calcutta and was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, in 1954.
