Juan Manuel, Prince of Villena was a Spanish writer, poet, and nobleman who lived from May 5, 1282, to June 13, 1348. A member of the House of Trastámara, he was a key figure in the politics of late medieval Spain. His literary works, including poetry, prose, and historical narratives, are among the most important from the late Middle Ages in Spain.
