Richard Owen Cambridge (1717-1802) was an English poet and satirist of the eighteenth century. Born into a noble family, he gained recognition for his satirical poem "The Scribleriad," which humorously criticized the literary and intellectual culture of his time. Cambridge moved in influential literary circles and was friends with prominent figures including Samuel Johnson.
