Liam Mellows was an Irish politician and revolutionary, a prominent figure in the Irish Republican Brotherhood and the Irish War of Independence. Born on May 25, 1895, Mellows was deeply involved in Irish politics from a young age. He joined the Irish Volunteers and later the Irish Republican Army, where he rose to prominence. Mellows was a leader in the Irish revolutionary movement and played a significant role in several key events, including the Easter Rising of 1916 and the Irish War of Independence. He was executed on December 8, 1922, at the age of 27.
