
Soong May-ling
Soong May-ling (March 5, 1898 – October 23, 2003) was a prominent Chinese politician, diplomat, and social activist. Born in Shanghai, she was of Fujian descent. She is known for her significant role in modern Chinese history, serving as the Minister of Women's Affairs of the Kuomintang and the Director-General of the Women's Department of the Central Executive Committee of the Kuomintang. Soong May-ling's exceptional diplomatic skills and steadfast political stance left a profound mark on modern Chinese history.
