Luca Parmitano is an Italian astronaut born on September 27, 1976. He joined the European Space Agency (ESA) in 2009 and executed his first space mission in 2012. Parmitano has extensive experience in spacewalks and scientific experiments, contributing significantly to the maintenance and scientific research of the International Space Station (ISS).
