Lukas Podolski, born June 2, 1985 in Gliwice, Poland, is a German professional footballer of Polish descent. Known for his powerful left foot and long-range shooting, Podolski played for top clubs including FC Köln, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Inter Milan, and Galatasaray. He represented Germany in the 2006, 2010 World Cups and Euro 2008, winning the 2014 World Cup.
