
Greville Janner, Baron Janner of Braunstone
Greville Janner, Baron Janner of Braunstone, was a British Labour Party politician and life peer. He was a prominent figure in British politics, particularly in the fields of education and child protection. His career spanned over five decades, during which he made significant contributions to public life in the UK. Born on July 11, 1928, Janner was elected to the House of Commons in 1964, representing Leicester West. He served in various roles within the government, including as a Minister of State for Education and Science, and took his seat in the House of Lords as a life peer in 1991. He passed away on December 19, 2015.
