Maria Theresa (May 13, 1717 - November 29, 1780) was the Queen of Hungary, Bohemia, and Austria, as well as the Empress of the Holy Roman Empire. She was one of the most important female rulers in European history during her reign, which witnessed the decline of the Habsburg Monarchy and her significant role on the European political stage.
