Marie Colvin was an American war correspondent renowned for her bravery and dedication to reporting from conflict zones. She worked for The Sunday Times and was recognized for her coverage of the conflicts in Syria and Sri Lanka. Colvin was awarded several journalism prizes, including the prestigious George Polk Award for International Reporting. Tragically, she was killed while reporting in Syria in 2012.
