Mariel Zagunis is an accomplished American Olympic fencer, born on March 3, 1985. She has achieved significant success in the women's foil event, particularly winning gold medals at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. Zagunis is highly regarded in the fencing community and is the first athlete to win consecutive Olympic gold medals in women's foil.
