
Picabo Street
Picabo Street (born April 3, 1971) is an American former World Cup alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist. She won the gold medal in the women's super-G at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano and a silver medal in the women's downhill at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. Known for her unique name and rebellious personality, Street overcame multiple injuries throughout her career to become a prominent figure in American skiing. She was born in Triumph, Idaho, and trained under her father's guidance. After retiring, she worked as a sports commentator and philanthropist, and was inducted into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.
