Meb Keflezighi (born May 5, 1975) is an American long-distance runner of Eritrean origin. He is one of the most successful American marathon runners in history, known for winning the 2014 Boston Marathon, becoming the first American man to win the race since 1983. He competed in four Olympic Games (2000, 2004, 2008, 2012) and held the American marathon record for many years. His victory at Boston Marathon is considered a historic milestone in American distance running.
