Nomar Garciaparra, born on July 23, 1973, is a retired American professional baseball player. Known for his exceptional defensive and hitting abilities, he played for the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers during his career. Garciaparra won the American League MVP award in 2004 and was named to the All-Star Game in 2007.
