Pranab Mukherjee (1935-2020) was the 13th President of India, serving from 2012 to 2017. A veteran Indian politician and senior Congress party leader, he held multiple cabinet positions including Finance Minister, Defence Minister, and External Affairs Minister. He made history as the first President of India from West Bengal. He passed away on August 31, 2020, at age 84 after contracting COVID-19.
