Somaly Mam (born 1970) is a Cambodian author and human rights activist known for exposing human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Southeast Asia. She founded the nonprofit AFESIP to rescue trafficking victims and authored the memoir 'The Road of Lost Innocence,' which gained international acclaim. However, she later faced allegations of fabricating victim stories and financial misconduct, leading to a significant decline in her reputation.
