Robert Reisner (1921 – February 1, 1974) was an American author, editor, and jazz critic. He is best known for his extensive research and writings on jazz history, particularly his biography of Charlie Parker, 'The Legend of Charlie Parker' (1962). Reisner also edited several jazz anthologies and contributed to numerous publications. His work helped preserve the legacy of bebop and its key figures. He died in 1974, but his contributions remain influential in jazz scholarship.
