Robert Venosa (January 21, 1936 – August 9, 2011) was an American painter, sculptor, and digital artist known for his surreal and fantasy art. He was a key figure in the psychedelic art movement of the 1960s and 1970s on the U.S. West Coast. His works combine meticulous realism with dreamlike, cosmic, and spiritual themes. Influenced by Salvador Dalí and H.R. Giger, Venosa developed a unique style. He studied at the Art Students League of New York and later worked with Dalí in Spain. Venosa was also a pioneer in digital art, using computers to expand his creative expression. His works have been exhibited globally and collected by many. He lived in Colorado and later Costa Rica, where he died in 2011.
